Born in Labuan Bajo

Our captains grew up on these waters. We read the swell, the tides and the dragon trails — so your itinerary always works with the sea, not against it.

Crew you can trust

Certified captains, trained dive guides and a dedicated cook on every liveaboard. Life jackets, radio and first-aid checked before every single departure.

All-inclusive on board

Meals cooked fresh on deck, snorkeling gear, drinking water, hotel pick-up and park coordination — the price you see covers the trip you get.

Book direct & flexible

No middlemen, no inflated rates. Free date change up to 14 days before departure and honest answers within 12 hours, every day of the year.

Komodo Tours Built Around the Sea, Not a Catalogue

A Komodo tour is the easiest way to reach Indonesia's most famous islands — the prehistoric dragons of Komodo and Rinca, the layered ridges of Padar, the rose-pink sand of Pink Beach and the manta highways of the Linta Strait. Almost every trip leaves from Labuan Bajo on the western tip of Flores, an hour's flight from Bali (DPS) or a short hop from Lombok (LOP). From there you sail.

We run the full range from one place: shared open-trip tour packages, private Komodo boat tours and multi-day phinisi liveaboard charters — including the classic three-day, two-night route that most first-timers ask for. Already in the islands? You can join a Komodo tour from Lombok — sailing the scenic way or flying across in an hour. We also sail the long way from Lombok to Komodo, crossing the Saleh Bay whale sharks in Sumbawa on the way, so a single message to our crew can plan an entire Nusa Tenggara journey end to end.

Step aboard a comfortable wooden phinisi for the four-day Lombok–Labuan Bajo open trip. Wake to whale sharks off Sumbawa, snorkel Satonda’s crater lake, glide over the rays at Manta Point and walk with the dragons on Komodo — then watch the sunrise from the ridges of Padar.

  • Full crew, cook and fuel included in every cabin price
  • Air-conditioned cabins, en-suite on the flagship
  • Couples, families and solo travellers all welcome

Word from the deck

Travellers Keep Telling Their Friends

The crew timed Padar perfectly — we had the summit almost to ourselves at sunrise. Food on board was better than most restaurants in town.

Sarah M. Australia · Lombok to Labuan Bajo 4D3N

Swimming with whale sharks off Sumbawa on the way to Komodo was unreal. The captain rerouted around a swell without us even asking and found a private bay for dinner.

Jonas & Lena K. Germany · KLM Walinreng Sailing

Two manta sightings, a komodo standing right by the trail, and a crew that genuinely loves this park. Booked again for next year with my parents.

Read All FAQs
How much does a Komodo boat tour cost?

Our open-trip phinisi sailings start from Rp 3,700,000 per person for the 4-day Lombok to Komodo route, all-inclusive: cabin, all meals on board, snorkeling gear, the Saleh Bay whale shark stop and crew. Premium cabins on the flagship KLM Walinreng start from Rp 5,500,000. Private charters are quoted on request. Komodo National Park entrance and ranger fees are paid separately at the gate.

What is the best time to visit Komodo National Park?

April to June and September to November are best: calm seas, dry trails and underwater visibility past 25 metres. July to August has superb weather but peak prices and full boats, so book 2-3 months ahead. January to February is the green monsoon season, when trips run with flexible routing and manta ray sightings peak. Komodo dragons are seen in every month of the year.

Can you see whale sharks and Komodo dragons on the same trip?

Yes. Our multi-day sailing crossings between Lombok and Komodo stop in Saleh Bay, Sumbawa at dawn to snorkel with whale sharks, then continue to Komodo National Park for the dragons on Rinca and Komodo, sunrise on Padar and the mantas at Manta Point. Saleh Bay offers whale shark sightings nearly year-round, so a single 4-day open trip can cover both encounters.

How do I get to Komodo from Lombok or Bali?

From Bali, fly direct Denpasar (DPS) to Komodo Airport (LBJ) in about 70 minutes, ten minutes from the Labuan Bajo marina. From Lombok you can fly via Bali (about 50 minutes in the air), take the 2-day overland and ferry route via Sumbawa, or sail the scenic 3-4 day open-trip crossing with us. We include airport or hotel pick-up on every trip.

Are the trips suitable for non-divers and families?

Yes. Our trips are built around snorkeling and island walks, not diving, so no certification is needed. Life jackets are mandatory on the water, snorkeling spots are shallow and current-checked, and a crew member stays in the water with each group. We have hosted guests from age six upwards; couples, solo travellers and families are all welcome on the open trips, and private charters let families set their own pace.

The dragons aren’t going anywhere. Your dates are.

Peak-season boats fill 2–3 months ahead. Tell us your dates and we’ll hold a cabin for 48 hours — no payment needed.
