These terms govern all bookings made with PT Komodo Dragon Wisata Bahari (“Komodo Open Trip”). Submitting a booking request constitutes acceptance of these terms.
1. Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed once we verify availability and you receive an invoice. Full payment (or a 50% deposit for departures more than 30 days away, with the balance due 14 days before departure) must reach us by the invoice due date, or the reservation lapses automatically. Prices are in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).
2. What prices include
Each tour or charter page lists its specific inclusions. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude flights, Komodo National Park entrance and ranger fees (paid at the gate), personal expenses and crew gratuities.
3. Rescheduling and cancellation
- Rescheduling is free up to 14 days before departure, subject to availability.
- Cancellation 30+ days before departure: refund minus 10% administration fee.
- Cancellation 15–30 days before departure: 50% refund.
- Cancellation within 14 days: non-refundable, but transferable to another person or convertible to trip credit valid 12 months.
4. Weather and itinerary changes
Sea conditions in the region are dynamic. The captain may amend routes, swap stops or delay departures where safety requires. If authorities close a crossing entirely, we reschedule your trip or refund the affected days in full. We are not liable for costs beyond the trip price (e.g. flights or hotels).
5. Guest responsibilities
Guests must follow crew and park-ranger instructions at all times, declare relevant medical conditions before departure, and hold their own travel insurance covering marine activities. Guests are responsible for damage they cause to vessels or equipment.
6. Health and safety
Life jackets are provided and mandatory during water activities. Trips involve hiking, swimming and boat transfers; guests join activities at their own discretion and risk.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the booked trip, except where Indonesian law provides otherwise. We carry passenger liability insurance on all vessels as required for licensed operators.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara.
